We are located in Bala, Ontario. Our patio backs right on to Lake Muskoka.

There is free street parking on Bala Falls Rd as well as many free public lots in Bala. The closest public lot is only 1min walk away from Jack & Stella - Precambrian Shield parking lot.
We welcome customers to visit us by boat! Jack & Stella is located in the Bala Bay on Lake Muskoka, our dock is open for customers to park their boats during our hours of operation.
Bala also has a Public Dock - Portage Landing.
No. If you are leaving our property to enjoy other offerings in Bala, we ask you utilize the Public Docks in town to allow space for other customers to visit us.
Boats are not permitted overnight! We are a Private Property, therefore once The Lounge closes for the night, you will not be able to access to our dock.
Absolutely yes, pet's are encouraged! We ask all dogs remain on a leash at all times.
You are welcome to bring dogs through the store as long as they are calm and well-behaved. Our space is small with many breakable items and other dogs around so please be mindful!
We have a gate at the side of the property to access the patio with out cutting through the store.

We are open all year around! Our hours vary depending on the season- generally the following is applicable...
Winter: 10am-4pm, 5 days/week
Spring: 9/10am-4/5pm, 5-7days/week
Summer: 9am-5pm & 6pm-9pm, 7 days/week
Fall: 9/10am-4/5pm, 5-7 days/week

Our kitchen closes 30 minutes before we close. This is applicable for both our daytime Cafe service and The Lounge service in the evening.
Please note: In the summer when The Lounge is open for dinner service, we will stop serving our cafe menu at 4:30pm and close the doors at 5:00pm. This allows time for us to reset and switch over to our dinner menu. That means we will not serve food from the kitchen until 6:00pm when we re-open and dinner service begins. Our dinner menu is available until 8:30pm.
Closing between 5:00pm-6:00pm in the summer months allows us to reset our space for dinner service. If you are visiting us late in the day PLEASE be aware our cafe kitchen closes at 4:30pm, we shut our doors and close our patio at 5:00pm. We re-open for dinner service at 6:00pm.

Cafe: All orders must be placed at the front counter inside Jack & Stella. Once your order is placed, we'll run your food/drinks out to wherever you chose to sit! We DO NOT offer table service during our daytime hours. All tables are first come first seated.
Lounge: We offer table service during our dinner service from 6:00pm-9:00pm in the summer months.
Unfortunately, we do not offer pre-order or delivery.

Bookings & Reservations
Cafe: We DO NOT take daytime reservations. All tables are first come first seated and orders are place at the front counter.
Lounge: We DO accept reservations for our dinner service 6:00-9:00pm. Reservations are encouraged, but walk ins are welcome when space allows. Please make bookings here.
Cafe: We DO NOT offer table service during our daytime hours (breakfast/lunch). All tables are first come first seated and orders are place at the front counter.
Lounge: We DO offer table service during dinner from 6:00-9:00pm. Please make bookings here.
Cafe: Our largest patio table accommodates 8 people. We have extra lawn chairs in the back to allow more. We ask you limit pulling extra chairs on the dock for health & safety reasons.
Our indoor sunroom can fit up to 12 people at one table.
Lounge: OpenTable allows reservations for parties up to 8. If you're looking to book for a larger party for dinner, please reach out to bookings@jackandstella.com
Yes! We have our Sunroom open for rental upon request. This is perfect for larger parties that want a guaranteed space during the day, or private space at night to celebrate.

Fee: $75/hour. Minimum 2 hours

Yes! There is a great view of the SWS Ski Show from our dock at 7:30pm on Tuesday in July & August. Tuesday's tend to book up SUPER quickly because of this! Plan ahead and book you dinner reservation here.
